The Brand
WaterOuai! is a next-generation hydration brand built on the belief that everyday habits should support long-term health. At the center of WaterOuai! is the SUPERCAN™, an aluminum can featuring a solid PET barrier applied before forming, designed to create a more consistent lining and help reduce material transfer into the water. Developed with a materials-first approach, the SUPERCAN™ reflects a broader shift toward more intentional design, material integrity, and everyday usability.
“Ouai” (pronounced “way”) is French for a casual “yeah!” It’s our rallying cry: say ouai! to clean water, ouai! to better materials, and ouai! to leaving plastics behind.
Holly Thaggard, founder of Supergoop!, and her son Will Thaggard. Holly built her career reshaping how the world thinks about SPF, applying a prevention-first philosophy to the category.. WaterOuai! brings that same approach to hydration: designed for families, built on science, and rooted in everyday rituals.
Same philosophy, new category. Supergoop! reshaped sun safety by making the better choice feel good: daily, ritualized, beautifully designed. WaterOuai! applies that prevention-first thinking to hydration. SPF and H2O, Holly’s two biggest beauty secrets, now in one mission.
Standard plastic, aluminum, and even glass bottles can shed microplastics and leach chemicals like BPA and phthalates into what we drink. Research from Columbia University identified up to 240,000 plastic particles per liter in popular bottled water, with 90% of them nanoplastics small enough to slip past the body’s natural defenses. Hydration is supposed to be healthy, and the packaging should be too!
Children drink more water relative to body weight than adults, so per-pound exposure is higher.
The SUPERCAN™ and the Science
WaterOuai! tests to the Code of Federal Regulations which does a 50 state analysis that includes PFAS, Perchlorate, Asbestos, Dioxin, MTBE, Uranium, Radon.
Yes. Aluminum is infinitely recyclable. Unlike plastic, which degrades in quality with each cycle and often ends up in landfills or the ocean, aluminum can be recycled endlessly without losing its material properties. Choosing an aluminum can over a single-use plastic bottle is one of the most impactful packaging choices a consumer can make.
WaterOuai! is natural artesian water sourced from the Edwards Aquifer, one of the most prolific and scientifically remarkable groundwater systems in the world, located in South-Central Texas. Pulled from a protected underground source and naturally filtered through limestone, it arrives with a clean mineral profile that delivers crisp, smooth hydration sip after sip.
Standard aluminum cans can contain potentially endocrine-disrupting chemicals. The SUPERCAN™ uses a next-generation, dry-laminated solid PET film liner that’s applied to the aluminum before the can is even formed, eliminating the need for chemical sprays, solvents, or questionable resins entirely. The result is one of the cleanest water packaging technologies available today.

“BPA-free” means BPA has been swapped for a chemical cousin like BPS, BPF, BPAF, or TMBPF. Peer-reviewed research has shown that several of these analogues match or exceed BPA’s endocrine activity in lab testing. The label changed; the chemistry often didn’t.

Yes. The SUPERBOTTLE™ is a premium glass bottle sealed with a pop-top closure (no painted metal cap) designed for fine dining, luxury hospitality, and discerning home use. Stay tuned for more details on this upcoming expansion!
Plastic bottles shed microplastics and nanoplastics into the water inside them. A 2024 Columbia University study using new imaging technology found an average of 240,000 plastic particles per liter in leading bottled water brands, and 90% were nanoplastics, small enough to cross into the bloodstream, organs, and even the placenta. About 33% of Americans, including 22 million children, drink plastic-bottled water every day.
